Skills Stores - Wodonga TAFE
Skills Stores is a Victorian Government service that is provided free of charge for Victorian residents. Skills Stores provide friendly, expert advice on the many opportunities and options that are available through Victoria's vocational and educational training system. Skills Stores help people to gain recognition for their current skills and provide guidance on how best to gain qualifications and update or improve existing qualifications.
When you visit a Skills Store, you can make an appointment with one of the consultants. The consultant will discuss your current skills with you, in order to identify how these skills may be counted towards a nationally-recognised qualification. The consultant can then give you a personal referral to a TAFE institution or other registered training organisation (RTO) to have those skills formally assessed. That way, existing skills and experience may be recognised by a qualification or a statement of attainment without you having to repeat training unnecessarily.
